FROM ROC'A'FELLA TO JAIL'A' FELLA. BEANIE SIGAL GOES TO PRISON AGAIN

If you know Hip Hop, the name Beanie Sigel shouldn't "Ring a Bell"  It should remind you of the prestigious Roc 'A' Fella Dynasty once ruled by Jay Z & Dame Dash. But sadly The empire collapsed like the Roman empire and ever since then things haven't been going well for some of these "Fellas" who once "Rocked".

Born Dwight Grant, the  39 years old  rapper Beanie is already facing a two year prison sentence for tax evasion and on Wednesday he was sentenced again for up to two years for a drug possession charge, he pleaded guilty to possession of an illegal drug Percocet, this led to six to twenty three months sentence at a county jail. The Drama began on August 29 2012 when a car he was inside was pulled over in a traffic stop after the policemen noticed the car swerving over the dividing lines.

Mr Sigal was not the one driving, he was said to be asleep when the car was stopped. The man driving the car Mr Gerald Andrews was given a pat-down and several prescription pill bottles and a small quantity of Marijuana was discovered, this led to the pat-down of  Sigal, revealing a bottle of codeine syrup, various pills hidden in a cigarette pack and about $4,500 in cash which he later claimed to have won in a casino. After a proper search, a fully loaded .38 caliber pistol was found in the car, more bad news for both Sigel and Andrews who are convicted felons and are prohibited from possessing a firearm. Sigel had previously served a federal sentence for firearms offenses in 2004.

Sigel was arrested just hours after the release of his newest solo album, “This Time,” which includes the song "That's All I Know" (featuring Akon). He recently experienced serious financial problems, mainly due to the tax issue, this album would have helped his financial distress but with his incarceration, lets see how his new label Ruffhouse EMI would handle it.

No doubt another sad story for the Hip hop community of Philadelphia U.S.A, Beanie Sigal is one of their rap heroes who rose to fame  in 1998 when he got signed to Rocafella Records, he left the label in 2009 after the end of his contract and at one time released a track dissing his former boss Jay Z, he signed to G Unit Records when the song was released. Well, this is not the first time he is doing time, he already spent one year behind bars in 2004, but lets hope this is going to be the last.
